Hidden Hostility talk

Event Detail

Hidden Hostility is about the political and social influence of architecture. We will be questioning and placing the role of the architect in the world today, responding to the issues of social injustice, the BLM Movement and issues around Disciplinary Architecture.

Most importantly, where does the profession stand amongst these issues of today? And does it play a neutral role?

The lecture is hosted by the Westminster Architecture Society and is open to all - external or internal.

About the Westminster Architecture Society

The Westminster Architecture Society (WAS) is the voice for Architecture students in the School of Architecture and Cities. Throughout the academic year, WAS aims to host a number of events which help to enrich the student experience such as student debates, lectures from internal and external guests, and other types of celebratory events. WAS is a co-founder of the London Architecture Schools Collective (LASC), which aims to unify the ideas of the various Schools of Architecture across London. MegaCrits are an example of what WAS and LASC can do to create change within the architectural community.
