Journey to the PHD: the obstacles and how to beat them (Tuesday 18 May, 6pm - 8pm)

  • In these interviews and panel, you will hear from a range of current doctoral students from backgrounds that are underrepresented in doctoral education — about their experiences, their routes to doctoral study, their advice and guidance for others thinking of doing a PhD, their challenges to the status quo in higher education.

Patterns of Migration - a live film screening and Q&A with Claire Wang and Arese Visconti (Wednesday 19 May, 2pm - 3:30pm)

  • This event will discuss themes related to migration through visual arts. Structured as a Q&A panel, the two introductory presentations will describe research case studies related to migration seen by contemporary artists and the still growing phenomenon of recent Italian diaspora to Western Switzerland.

3 Minute Thesis Competition: The Final (Thursday 20 May, 3:30pm - 5pm)
