Founder of the Freelancer Club and leading freelance expert, Matt Dowling, will introduce you to the world of freelancing and what to expect when you go it alone.

Learning outcomes:

In this session, you will learn how to get started as a freelancer, the key areas to work on, the pitfalls and realities of going solo as well as ways to find paid work and build a career as a freelancer.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A.

About the Speaker:

Matt Dowling is the founder of the Freelancer Club, has been speaking and campaigning for 12 years on the 'freelance experience', unpaid work, ethical hiring, including the lack of diversity and inclusion in the workplace as well as the future of work. He is responsible for the No Free Work campaign and played a key role in securing financial support for freelancers during the pandemic.
