Our packed schedule of events throughout March in support of Uni Mental Health Day comes to a close with this panel discussion on compassion in higher education.

One of Westminster University's core values is "Being Compassionate," but what is the importance of this approach in shaping the experiences of students and staff?

Psychology lecturers Bryan Bonaparte and Kathryn Waddington will be joined by Westminster students as well as colleagues from the charity Student Minds as they explore:

  • How students and staff see and experience compassion

  • How universities can make mental health a university-wide priority using Student Minds’ University Mental Health Charter

  • How this approach to compassion shaped the book "Towards the Compassionate University," which includes chapters written by our own Westminster University staff

  • Join the discussion - bring your lunch! Open to all students and colleagues

Make sure to book a place. You'll then be emailed a Teams link to access the event a few days before it.
