London Gallery West will play host to the South Korean Ulsan Oesol, International Typography Exhibition, with the title ‘Letter and Image: Typographic Odyssey’.
In commemoration of the 51st anniversary of the discovery of the Ulsan Bangudae Petroglyphs, the theme of the exhibition reflects on the value and artistry of petroglyphs as the source of written communication.
The visualisation of culture and art, the prototype of characters and cultural heritage are the inspirations behind modern typography design by leading domestic and foreign artists and designers, who each have their own unique cultural approaches.
Curator: Chang Sik Kim (Professor & Art Director), San Jose State University, USA & Living Creative Design Studio
Co-curator: Hans-Dieter Reichert, Senior Lecturer & Liaison Tutor, University of Westminster, UK & Baseline Magazine
