About me
Dr Mostafa Hussien is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the School of Finance and Accounting. He holds a MRes in Accounting, Finance and Management ( University of Essex) and a PhD in Accounting (University of Essex), as well as a Postgraduate Certificate of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (University of East London ) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He has wide experience in academia and the public sector which spans over 15 years. Dr Hussien has developed and taught many Accounting and Finance modules at undergraduate, postgraduate and ACCA levels. He has also supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Teaching
Dr Mostafa Hussien has extensive teaching experience in a variety of Accounting modules at undergraduate level (i.e. Introductory financial Accounting, Intermediate management Accounting and advanced Management Accounting), postgraduate level (i.e. Managerial Accounting and Financial Analysis for managers) and ACCA level (Management Accounting). His areas of expertise are in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Business Decision Making and International Financial Analysis.
Research
Dr Mostafa Hussien has a wider research interests relate to Corporate Governance CEO and Executive pay, Gender Diversity, and Sustainability, Environment and Social Responsibility. He has presented his research at various national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars in various countries, as well as won competitive internal and external research grant awards.
