Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
The University of Westminster offered a unique opportunity for me to study a cutting-edge Law and Technology LLM. After looking at different universities, Westminster felt like the best fit for me and offered a course I couldn't do anywhere else. What particularly appealed to me was how multicultural the university is and its genuine drive to create an inclusive environment for all.
How has your experience been studying in London?
I have loved studying in London, and particularly in central London. Being able to go to galleries between classes, spend time in the lovely parks, and experience the wide variety of restaurants and nightlife that London offers has definitely been a highlight of mine.
What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?
I have absolutely loved my course. I think it does a really great job of looking at how technology is influencing the legal world currently, as well as what could be expected in the future. I have particularly enjoyed the integration of more practical skills as well as the encouragement to think outside the box when dealing with difficult areas.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
The lecturers at Westminster are wonderful! They are always willing to help where they can and are some of the most welcoming people, which was great as an international student from South Africa.
What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
Do it! There are very few universities that feel as welcoming and diverse as Westminster. The university encourages you to find new ways of thinking and to explore them with confidence. I couldn't recommend the University of Westminster and the course I studied, Law and Technology LLM more!
