Sustainable Biotechnology Research Group

About the group

The Sustainable Biotechnology Research Group, within the Centre for Nutraceuticals, is based in the University of Westminster's School of Life Sciences. Sustainable biotechnology is an area of science with immense growth due to the emerging need for bio-products produced using renewable resources which are therefore sustainable, leading to a strong circular, bioeconomy.

Sustainable Biotechnology Research Internship Scheme

We run an annual sustainable biotechnology research internship scheme aimed at researchers with a PhD. This is in collaboration with the Genome Engineering Laboratory. Participants get to learn the latest trends in biotechnology, for example CRISPR, while immersing themselves in a research project in collaboration with members of the School of Life Sciences. Contact Dr Godfrey Kyazze at  if you want to know more about this scheme.

Our location

The Sustainable Biotechnology Research Group is part of the Centre for Nutraceuticals, located within the University of Westminster’s School of Life Sciences, 115 New Cavendish Street, London W1W 6UW.
