About the group

The Medicines Diagnostics and Disease Modelling (MDDM), within the Centre for Optimal Health, is based in the School of Life Sciences. Research within the group investigates a broad range of risk factors and disease triggers that interact to produce specific pathologies, to develop new approaches to improve diagnosis and treatment. The group works on a range of diseases including cancer, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders and neglected diseases.

MDDM research group projects have attracted funding from a wide range of different organisations including Children with Cancer UK, Quintin Hogg Trust, Diabetes UK, UKRI, Society for Endocrinology and the Petts Memorial Fund.
