Our position on use of GenAI and policy guidelines

As a sector, Higher Education is trying to understand the likely impact of GenAI on teaching, learning, and working.

Earlier this year, we published a position statement on GenAI tools and systems. As a university, we want to take advantage of using GenAI where possible in our day-to-day work, while ensuring its safe use.

We have now developed a policy setting out guidelines on how our community can use GenAI systems safely. The policy applies to all colleagues, students, partners and third-party suppliers.

The purpose of these guidelines is to support the safe and ethical use of GenAI at Westminster and help prepare students and colleagues for its widespread use across industry, commerce, and the professions.

Read our policy guidelines on the safe use of GenAI at Westminster.
