Samuel Jones, a student from the MSc Software Engineering and mentee, said:

It has been a great privilege to benefit from being part of the Career Mentoring Programme. The process was clear, well-explained and well-supported right from the start. The choice of my mentor was inspired, and he has proved to be a huge support in my journey over the last few months. The Mentoring Programme has been one of the most positive aspects of my time at the University, I've gained a huge amount from it, and I unreservedly and wholeheartedly recommend it to every student at Westminster. Seize the chance and make the most of it!

About the Ask a Mentor service (short-term mentoring)

For short-term mentoring, our Ask a Mentor service offers you the chance to be matched with one of our professional mentors for a one-off conversation.

This one-off mentoring session can be used to ask for career advice on a range of topics, for example, guidance on job/internship searches, job application or interview preparation tips, or for asking industry-specific questions.

Open all year round to all students, you can apply anytime via Engage.

Salka Mulud Ammi, a student from the LLM International Law Graduate and 'Ask a Mentor' mentee, said:

The Ask a Mentor programme has been a discovery for me and game changing in my job hunting. I spent around 5 months applying for roles trying to get my foot in the professional field and I have been rejected over and over again. When I got the chance to have a mentor, it boosted my chance and I received an offer within weeks. I am extremely happy with the experience, I will definitely use the service again and I will highly recommended to all recent graduates and students.
