Guidance on the use of Generative AI in your studies

The University has published a new guidance on how to use generative AI in your studies.

The guidance encourages you to engage with generative AI in your independent, non-assessed work and suggests various ways you can do this. It also details the pros and cons of using generative AI and what you must do if you use generative AI to help with any assessed work that you complete.

For further help, tips and suggestions about using generative AI, please look at these online resources, which include a set of frequently asked questions, a video overview about the guidance and links to online courses which will help you better understand generative AI and its potential in learning and the workplace.

If you have specific questions about generative AI in relation to your assessments, please speak to your lecturers, course leader or personal tutor.

Please email [email protected] if you have any general AI-related queries.
