If you become a Social Media Ambassador, you'll have the chance to get trained in creating engaging social media content about life as a Westminster student and gain valuable paid work experience in the flexible part-time role.
Last year, 30 Westminster students got involved with the scheme, creating content for the University’s social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok. The scheme is open for applications again this year. If you're interested, apply by 29 September.
One of the students involved in the scheme last year said: “Becoming a Social Media Ambassador is definitely something to think about - it’s fun, on your own terms, pushes you out of your comfort zone and makes you feel like you’re part of a community whilst gaining work experience. Joining the scheme is one of the best choices I’ve made so far since coming to Westminster.”
Milly Gilmore, Social Media Manager at the University and organiser of the scheme, said: “Students on the Social Media Ambassador scheme not only develop their skills in content creation but also learn to navigate the dynamic landscape of social media and content creation - a skillset crucial for many of today’s graduates.
"I think it’s important to bring students from across the University into the conversation about what we create and share on social media. Our Social Media Ambassadors are the voice of our TikTok. They show our online community what life at Westminster is really like. It is more than a part-time role alongside studying; the scheme empowers students to become adaptable, forward-thinking, creative and ready to excel in any modern workplace.”
The role is open to all students from all courses and levels who have right to work in the UK. Applications will close on Friday 29 September, with onboarding sessions starting Tuesday 10 October.
