Creative competition launched for Mental Health Awareness Week

Send us your photos, artwork, or short stories on the theme of nature with the chance of winning prizes and having your work promoted as part of our #createnature contest.

We know the past year has been difficult, but it has also inspired a wealth of creativity allowing for reflection, unexpected inspiration, and much needed calm.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week (May 10 - May 16) and to reflect this year’s theme of ‘nature’, the University of Westminster Library is running a competition named #createnature to see how you creatively interpret and engage with nature. To take part in the contest, please create a nature-themed piece of art or writing in one of the following formats:

  • Photo

  • Painting/Drawing

  • Short story (maximum 300 Words)

Submissions are welcome from both students and staff at the University.
2 x £25 Amazon vouchers to be won!

We will share winning submissions and runners up on our Wellbeing Collection Library Guide and social media channels from the week beginning Monday 17 May onwards.

The two winners will each receive a £25 Amazon voucher.
