In response to national and international events, ourselves and others may be impacted by significant social and political issues connected with our identities. This includes conflict, violence and discrimination relating to race and religion, causing substantial distress to individuals and communities.
To mark Interfaith Week 2024, we welcome all colleagues, students and guests to explore the role of faith in Higher Education in strengthening communities in times of crisis. As part of this discussion, we will explore what is needed to support deep conversation, solidarity and reconciliation.
This event will be hosted by the University’s Faith Spirituality and Belief Colleague Network and feature an expert panel of academics from the UK. The discussion will offer perspectives on how to navigate these pressing challenges and will be followed by a Q&A discussion.
