About the event
What makes a good film? In our opinion, it is one that:
- Brings you into the world of the characters
- Stays in your mind long after the credits have rolled
- One that you can spend time discussing - in great company!
We have sorted this for you. As part of the Westminster Conversations series and Black History Year, the BME Network invites you to a film screening of The Great Debaters. The movie follows The Wiley College debate team in Texas during the Great Depression, exploring themes of race and racial violence. The Great Debaters is a touching story based on real-life events.
