To support Refugee Week, we will be showcasing the artwork of Ghazal Zargar, an Iranian refugee artist, in the Gallery Coffee Shop at Regent Street from Monday 19 June until Friday 23 June.
Live painting - Wednesday 21 June, 1-4pm
On Wednesday, 21 June, Ghazal will be painting live at the Gallery Coffee Shop from 1pm to 4pm! We encourage everyone to stop by and say hello. If you are available, please visit her to show your support.
Ghazal Zargar was born in Tehran to an artistic family. Her childhood passion for painting led her to become a graphic designer and illustrator. In 2020, Ghazal was forced to flee Iran, leaving behind her family and the life she had built. She has been in the UK for almost a year now, awaiting a decision on her asylum claim. Her paintings symbolise the pain and trauma of her journey seeking asylum in today's challenging environment.
