As part of our Black History Year event programme, we welcome you to Re-visioning Spiritual Practice in the Black Community: A Conversation with Lama Rod Owens.
About the event
During Easter Week, we take a turn towards the spiritual and contemplate how spiritual practices are changing in the black community. To do this we are thrilled to welcome renowned Buddhist teacher, Lama Rod Owens, as our guest for what promises to be an inspiring conversation.
Are traditional religions losing ground to new spiritual movements and if so, why? Is the church up to the task of leading in times of political upheaval? Where can LGBTQ+ practitioners find a spiritual home? How do you create a spiritual practice that honours your identity and heritage? Join us to explore these questions and more as Lama Rod shares his wisdom, insight and experience with us.
This free event is open to all.
