Pre-recorded workshop available from Monday 18 December for one week.
Motivation is the urge to engage in goal-directed behaviour. Sometimes, we can lack motivation to complete difficult tasks. When our mood is low, we can even find completing necessary tasks challenging. This can lead to unhelpful behaviour such as procrastination or avoidance.
Fortunately, we can use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to untangle thoughts and behaviours that can keep us stuck in these vicious cycles. This workshop will explore:
How mood can impact motivation
The CBT five areas model: how thoughts, emotions, behaviour and physical symptoms are interconnected
Practical strategies to boost motivation and reduce procrastination.
