Pre-recorded workshop available Monday 8 April for one week.
Mindfulness has become increasingly popular in recent years, but what is it? Adapted from Buddhist mindfulness meditation, it is a form of self-awareness training. It involves observing what is happening in the here and now, without making judgments about what we notice. Evidence has shown that mindfulness can help with symptoms of anxiety and depression.
This interactive workshop will explain the benefits of mindfulness and how developing this skill can improve your overall wellbeing. It will explore:
- The definition of mindfulness – what it means and what the practice of mindfulness involves
- The benefits of mindfulness
- Some mindfulness exercises that you can use to relax your body and calm your mind
