The Specialist Mentors within Disability Learning Support (DLS) are hosting an online student workshop for Mental Health Awareness Week based on the theme Loneliness. The Mentors offer one-to-one support aimed at helping students registered with DLS overcome barriers to studying and achieve their full potential at university.

Being a student and studying is naturally sometimes an isolating and lonely experience.

The workshop will focus on:

  • How to identify and understand the feeling of loneliness
  • The different periods loneliness can be experienced throughout university and the impact this has on your wellbeing
  • Explore practical strategies to manage feelings of loneliness
  • How students can connect with others and manage time alone
  • Support available to you
