"Blackness and Belonging" is an empowering online gathering celebrating the beauty and unity within the Black community, starting on 2024-02.
As part of our Black History Year event programme, we'd like to welcome you to our first event of 2024: Blackness and Belonging. Join us for a fireside chat with Georgina Lawton, a talented writer on topics surrounding identity and race. Georgina will share her experiences and insights on the complexities of black identity and finding belonging in all kinds of spaces. As well as writing books on race, Georgina is also a travel writer and hosts writing retreats for Women of Colour.
Participants will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of race and belonging, as well as explore what it means to really "belong".
This event aims to foster open dialogue, promote inclusivity, and inspire attendees to reflect on their own journeys of self-discovery and acceptance. Whether you are seeking a greater understanding of black identity or exploring ways to create more inclusive spaces, "Blackness and Belonging" promises to be a rich and insightful evening. We hope you will be able to join us.
This free event is open to all.
