Following the devastating floods in Libya, the University of Westminster is sharing a statement of support and information on how anyone may help those affected.

Earlier this week the University issued a statement of support to all those affected by last week’s earthquake in Morocco.

It is devastating to see another natural disaster occur so soon after, and the University’s thoughts are with all those affected by the floods in Libya.

The support services for colleagues and students continue to be available and anyone who needs extra support, emotional or practical, are strongly encouraged to reach out. Students can contact their personal tutors or visit the University’s dedicated Student Wellbeing webpage, and colleagues are encouraged to talk to their managers or access the Health and Wellbeing resources available to all colleagues via Sharepoint Intranet.

The Disaster’s Emergency Committee is monitoring the situation and is sharing updates on the Libyan Floods and Moroccan Earthquake situations.

If you would like to donate or get more information, Action Against Hunger, British Red Cross, International Rescue Committee and Islamic Relief have useful information.
