Attendees were welcomed to Marylebone Campus before the carol service to a festive gathering held at the Learning Platform to enjoy festive treats, including mince pies and mulled wine.

Westminster students, staff, family and friends then gathered at the St Marylebone Parish Church to begin the Carol Service. The service was attended by those of all ages to mark the beginning of the festive season, singing classic carols, performances and readings.

The University’s Choral Society sang their rendition of ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’, and third year Commercial Music Performance BMus student Elyona Biney presented a performance of ‘O Holy Night’.

Passages from the Bible were also read by Deputy Vice Chancellor for Education Professor Roland Dannreuther, Head of Student Support and Residential Life Sally Olohan MBE, and third year Marketing and Communications BA student Samuel Badcock.

Following the closing of the service, a collection for the BakerStreetQ Community Toy Appeal took place.
