Steven Stokey-Daley, a graduate of the Fashion Design BA Honours course, has been featured in The Observer’s Faces to Watch in 2022 list.
Steven, who goes by the business name SS Daley, has been selected by The Observer as someone who is set to make headlines this year for his work in fashion design.
Steven gained exposure for dressing the singer Harry Styles for his Golden music video after graduating from Westminster in June 2020, which led to the clothes selling out immediately. Sir Ian McKellen and Josh O'Connnor have also worn his designs.
Discussing the inspiration behind Steven’s designs, the article notes: “As well as disrupting menswear through his feminine clothes, there’s a modernity to his sustainable, made-to-order business model too. His underlying aesthetic obsession (the British class system viewed through working-class eyes) remains of perennial interest.”
