graduate school festival 2022

Following the success of the inaugural festival in 2021, the Graduate School are delighted to be hosting their 2nd annual festival this May.

When and where will this festival take place

The festival will take place throughout the week of the 23 to 27 May and this year includes an even more ambitious programme of both on-campus and online events showcasing the brilliant work of the University’s Doctoral Researchers.

Who can attend

The festival is open to all – current Doctoral Researchers, Undergraduates and Postgraduates, along with University colleagues and those from outside the University community.

Theme and events

With a theme of ‘Look Up and Look Beyond’, the festival encourages all involved to reach out beyond their own disciplines and comfort zones to experience something new. With this in mind, this year’s festival includes keynotes from Professor Kehinde Andrews and Hugh Kearns, a Doctoral Researcher Film Screening in Regent Street Cinema, the 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) Final, the Graduate School Showoff, In-Conversation with… events, the Great GS Bake-Off, Twitter Takeover and Festival Playlist… Plus much more!

Thinking of doing a PhD?

There is also an event aimed specifically for those thinking of doing a PhD in the future (which may be of particular interest to current Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students) – the ‘Thinking of Doing a PhD? Panel Discussion’ takes place online on Friday 27 May.
