About the event

This event will examine issues related to a critical understanding to decolonisation and will address questions related to challenges involved in decolonising education.

We will assess questions such as whether decolonisation of education is at all possible? What role should individuals and institutions play in the decolonisation and transformation process? Can contextual and structural issues such as institutional policies, lack of leadership support, lack of access to resources be the determining factors in the barriers to decolonisation of education?

Panel members: Dr Lata Narayanaswamy (University of Leeds), Professor Dibyesh Anand, Dr Ipshita Basu, Dr Yemisi Sloane (University of Westminster).

Moderator: Dr David Khabaz
