This series of workshops, developed by Student Minds, will give you the necessary tips and tools to support a friend in need: spotting the signs that your friend is struggling, how to start a conversation and support them and when to signpost for further help – as well as looking after yourself in the process. 

What will it cover?

  • How to spot warning signs 
  • Practical tips to support a mate 
  • How to signpost to the right services 
  • Setting your own boundaries 

What will you gain?

  • Confidence to support your mates 
  • Knowledge of services available 
  • Understanding of how to support your own wellbeing 
  • Enhanced employability through transferrable skills e.g. communication & reflective listening skills 
  • 30 points toward the Westminster Employability Award

The sessions will take place online via Microsoft Teams. Once signed up, you will receive a joining link closer to the date of the training.
